"Digital Security" workshop in cooperation with the "Digital Footprint" initiative, from October 8 to 9, in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Hall

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Samah Al-Saeed, Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at Mansoura University, a "Digital Security" workshop was held in cooperation with the "Digital Footprint" initiative from October 8 to 9 in the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector Hall.

The workshop included several sessions:

The first session was entitled "Who Do We Trust", and focused on different spaces such as the security space, personal space, and private space, and how people can protect each space from threats.

The second session was entitled "Safety and Security" about electronic safety and how we can secure our accounts and maintain our privacy while browsing the Internet.

The third session was entitled "Rights and Technology". In it, participants learned about their technological rights and how they can use the Internet and technology safely and responsibly.

The fourth session was a workshop telling true stories. The boys and girls shared their experiences with electronic blackmail, and discussed how these situations were dealt with and how to deal better in the future.

On the second day, the fifth session was titled "How the Internet Began". It discussed the history of the Internet, how it began and developed, and how it works.

The sixth session was titled "Malware". It explained the types of these software, how they work, and how we can protect our devices from them by downloading protection programs and updating them continuously.

The seventh session was about "How to protect our computers and accounts". Here, the focus was on ways to secure devices and accounts from hacking, and strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and the importance of updating systems were also discussed.

The eighth session was about "Electronic Blackmail". The trainers explained the forms of blackmail, how it is considered a type of gender-based violence, and how blackmailers use different methods to influence victims.

As for the ninth session, it was about "The Role of the Law". It discussed the position of Egyptian law on electronic blackmail, what are the legal procedures that must be followed to report blackmail and protect rights.

It also addressed the penalties stipulated by the law in this regard.

The training was conducted by: Dr. Mayada Hamed, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education and Certified Trainer at the Mawadda Project, and Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Nadim, Trainer at the Drug Control and Treatment Fund.
