Patient Rights Symposium “A symposium for medical staff at the university in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine”

▪️ Today, May 15, 2024, the University’s Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, held a symposium for the university’s medical staff under the title: Patient Rights.
Prof. Dr. Tamer Saleh spoke about the patient’s legal rights, His Eminence Sheikh Khaled Saeed, one of the Al-Azhar scholars, spoke about compassion for the patient, and Dr. Lina Hosni discussed the patient’s rights in accordance with the professional code of honor.
After that, the attendees asked questions to the lecturers, and after the end of the symposium, they visited the Safe Women’s Unit at the college.

The President of Mansoura University discusses the plan of action for the integrated caravan for Halayeb and Shalatin
Today, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 AD, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with members of the Mansoura University integrated convoy “Bridges of Goodness-21” heading to Halayeb, Shalatin, and Abu Ramad, during the period from May 17-21, 2024 AD, in cooperation with The Ministry of Social Solidarity and Decent Life and the Red Sea Governorate, to discuss the details of the convoy’s work and the integrated services it will provide.
In the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and head of the convoy, Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi, Vice President of the College of Medicine and head of the medical team, Dr. Hossam El-Din Al-Hilali, coordinator of the integrated convoys and head of the administrative team.
Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater said that the integrated convoy comes within the framework of presidential initiatives to develop solidarity in the Egyptian state, and within the framework of activating the role of Mansoura University in serving society, and to be active and interactive in the new republic.
He also stressed the importance of the role of integrated convoys in supporting the delivery of various services to people in remote places, especially border areas.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim indicated that the convoy is carried out in cooperation with all executive authorities in the Red Sea Governorate, and the integrated convoy includes specializations: medical, veterinary, agricultural awareness, sports, food supplies, and educational scholarships convoy.
He stated that the integrated convoy includes 54 faculty members and administrators at the university, and the medical convoy also includes 37 doctors, faculty members at the College of Medicine from various specialties.
He pointed out that the food and supplies convoy is the largest of its kind, as it includes 17 tons of rice - 17 tons of flour - 25 tons of pasta - 50 cartons of dates - one ton of chicken - 100 cartons of food supplies - one ton of ready-made clothes.
His Excellency also reviewed the convoy’s movement schedule: The start signal begins tomorrow, Thursday, with the movement of the first team, then on Friday, the entire convoy will start at exactly 8 am, with Saturday being the beginning of the convoy’s work until the end of its work on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Today, Sunday, May 12, 2024, Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, inaugurated a number of medical projects in hospitals and medical centers at the university.
This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sweilem, former Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Major General Sameh Mohamed Youssef, Head of the Civil Projects Sector at the National Service Projects Agency, Prof. Dr. El-Shaarawy Kamal, Director. Executive Director of Hospitals and Medical Centers, Professor Dr. Walid Abu Samra, Director of the Center for Ophthalmology and Surgery, Professor Dr. Hazem Hakim, Director of Al Batinah Specialized Hospital, Brigadier Nasser Mahmoud Youssef, Vice President of the Sector and Director of Mansoura University Projects.
The openings include: developing outpatient clinics, the medical analysis laboratory, developing accident operations in the emergency and training building at the Ophthalmology Center - operating the path connecting the main building and the new building at Al Batinah Hospital - opening the health insurance clinic for university employees in the main university services complex.
Professor Dr. Sherif Khater confirmed that the political leadership represented by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, pays great attention to supporting and developing medical and health services in university hospitals and medical centers, as it is one of the basic pillars of providing distinguished health services to citizens, noting that the medical centers and hospitals at Mansoura University enjoy the trust of... Citizens due to the distinguished health services they provide, explaining that university hospitals seek to achieve the country’s 2030 strategy and provide a decent life in terms of health for citizens.
The development of the outpatient clinics at the Ophthalmology and Surgery Center was opened, including a new building with an area of about 700 square meters, implemented by the National Service Projects Agency, under the supervision of the Center for Studies, Research and Engineering Consultations at Mansoura University. It includes a new patient lounge that can accommodate about 200 additional patients with all the services that the patient needs, including relationships. General, receiving, booking appointments, and completing procedures for issuing state expense decisions, health insurance, or entry procedures, withdrawing samples for medical tests, and the treasury. The infrastructure, technical and information technology services were also renewed, and general and specialized clinics and an economic treatment clinic were added to provide distinguished medical services.
It is worth noting that the center receives more than 280,000 patients annually to provide medical, surgical and diagnostic services at a high level of medical quality.
A medical analysis laboratory was also opened on an area of about 80 square meters, in accordance with international quality standards and the code for establishing medical laboratories.
It includes several units for various blood analyses, viruses, and plasma separation, equipped with the latest devices and microscopes necessary for medical analyses. It also includes a rest area and reception for patients, under the supervision of an elite group of faculty members at the Mansoura Faculty of Medicine.
The accident operations development was opened in the emergency and training building with an area of about 70 square metres. It includes the latest medical devices, microscopes, surgical machines, anesthesia and recovery devices for patients with eye accidents. It also includes an area for sterilization, electronic data recording, and medical supplies. The development was done in accordance with international medical quality standards and the Egyptian code for operations.
It is worth noting that the center includes clinics equipped with the highest medical standard to receive emergency and accident patients 24 hours a day and serves more than 15 thousand accident patients annually.

Family carnival, for faculty members and university employees, at the Nile Club, Thursday, May 9, 2024

Within the framework of the important societal role of the community service and environmental development sector, Mr. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, opened the family carnival for the university’s faculty and staff at the Nile Club on Thursday 5/9/2024.
With the participation of 208 people, representing 52 families from university colleges, hospitals, medical centers, public administrations, the Nile Club, and expatriates.
In the presence of Mr. Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Gad - Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry, Mr. Prof. Abdel-Rahman Mujahid - Director of the Nile Club, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol - Director of the Artificial Intelligence Program at the College of Engineering, and Mr. Dr. Mustafa Amin - General Director of the General Administration of Projects. Environmental (organizing management of the event) and Mr. M. Mohamed Fikry - sponsor of the carnival.
The carnival began with the national anthem, the Holy Qur’an, and a speech from Mr. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University, in which he expressed the important role of the family in building society, raising children and raising them on the virtues of morals, and His Excellency affirmed the university’s keenness to activate such activities aimed at serving the community. His Excellency thanked all those involved in organizing the event.

عقد مجلس خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بجامعة المنصورة صباح اليوم الاثنين 16/11/2020م جلسته رقم (243) برئاسة السيد أ.د/ محمود محمد المليجي – نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، ورئيس مجلس الإدارة، وبحضور السادة وكلاء الكليات لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والسادة أعضاء المجلس من الخارج.

استهل السيد أ.د/ محمود محمد المليجي أعمال المجلس بتقديم الشكر للسيدة أ.د/ نسرين صلاح عمر – عميد كلية الطب وعضو مجلس النواب على الجهود التي بذلتها خلال فترة توليها وكالة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بالكلية متمنياً لها التوفيق في مهمتها الجديدة وقدم لسيادتها درع وميدالية القطاع وشهادة تقدير عرفاناً بجهودها، وكذلك تقدم بالشكر للسيدة أ.د/ هناء عبده عباس – وكيل كلية التربية النوعية لشئون خدمة المجتمع سابقاً ومنحها شهادة تقدير والميدالية الخاصة بالقطاع تقديراً من سيادته لجهودها العظيمة في خدمة المجتمع أثناء فترة توليها وكالة خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، كما تقدم بالتهنئة للسيد أ.د/ محمد جبر السيد لتعيين سيادته وكيلا لكلية الطب البيطري لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والسيدة أ.د/ سحر صدقي الحنفي لتعيين سيادتها وكيلا لكلية الهندسة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والسيد أ.د/ محسن محمد عبد اللطيف لتعيين سيادته وكيلا لكلية التربية النوعية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، كما رحب بكل من الطالب/ علي إبراهيم – الطالب بكلية الحقوق ورئيس فريق طلاب المحروسة، والطالبة/ منى مصطفى – الطالبة بكلية التربية ونائب رئيس فريق طلاب المحروسة، وأكد على ضرورة دعم السادة وكلاء خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بالكليات لفريق طلاب المحروسة.

كما أشار إلى قيام قطاع خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة بتنظيم وتنفيذ السوق السنوي الدائم للطلاب خلال النصف الأول من شهر ديسمبر المقبل، كما نوه إلى قيام الجامعة بتنظيم قافلة متكاملة إلى محافظة أسيوط وبالتعاون مع جامعة أسيوط خلال الفترة من 12 – 17 ديسمبر المقبل.

كما شدد على ضرورة الالتزام بكافة الإجراءات الوقائية والاحترازية الخاصة بمواجهة فيروس كورونا وضرورة اتباع التعليمات المذكورة بخطة الجامعة المعتمدة من مجلس جامعة المنصورة، مع التشديد على إلزام الطلاب للكمامات خلال التواجد بالحرم الجامعي وداخل المدرجات والمعامل حرصا على سلامة كافة منسوبي الجامعة، كما أشار إلى زيارة لجنة المجلس الأعلى للجامعات لجامعة المنصورة، وضرورة التأكيد على أن تكون كافة الكليات بالجامعة جاهزة لهذه الزيارة، كما تطرق إلى ضرورة مراجعة كافة العقود والبروتوكولات بين كليات الجامعة والمراكز والوحدات ذات الطابع الخاص وبين مراكز التدريب الخارجية مع اتباع الإجراءات الخاصة بعقد هذه البروتوكولات، وعرض هذه البروتوكولات على اللجنة الدائمة لمراجعة البروتوكولات والعقود لمراجعتها.

كما أشار إلى ضرورة تنظيم ندوات توعوية لكافة طلاب الجامعة لتوعيتهم بكيفية التصرف الصحيح في حالة ابتزازهم بواسطة آخرين، وذلك بالتعاون مع لجنة متابعة تنفيذ مبادرة مودة، ووحدة مناهضة العنف ضد المرأة، ومركز تأهيل الاخصائيين الاجتماعيين والنفسيين بالجامعة.
