Mansoura University Integrated Convoy "Jusoor Al-Tanmya (16)" to serve the people of Damas, Mit Ghamr Center, Dakahlia Governorate

Today, the integrated convoy "Jusoor Al-Tanmya (16)"  was launched to serve the people of Damas in the Mit Ghamr Center, Dakahlia Governorate, within the framework of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian countryside – “Hayat Karema” Initiative, under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar - Governor of Dakahlia, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Haitham El-Sheikh - Deputy Governor of Dakahlia.

Coordinated by: Dr. Iman Ahmed Abu al-Fadl - coordinator of Hayat Karema Initiative at Mansoura University, Engineer/ Shaima Mohammed al-Siddiq -coordinator of the Hayat Karema Initiative in Dakahlia governorate, and Mrs/ Esraa Ahmed – Administrative Coordinator of the convoy.

The integrated convoy included (a medical and health awareness convoy, a veterinary convoy, an agricultural convoy, and recreational activities for children), where Dr. Ghada Al-Quneishi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, stated that (581) citizens have been medically examined in various medical specialties and (28) cases were transferred to complete treatment in Mansoura University hospitals.

He expressed a. Dr. Muhammad Jabr - Vice Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, that the veterinary convoy inspected (37) cows and buffaloes, (235) goats and sheep, (23) animals, in addition to (346) poultry (9) animals. Pets and providing guidance to runners on the proper feeding of animals.

Prof. Mohamed Gabr - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs said that the veterinary convoy examined (37) cows and buffaloes, (235) goats and sheep, (23) animals in addition to (346) poultry (9) pets and provided guidance to breeders on the proper nutrition of animals.

Also Dr. Wafaa Abu Al-Maati, head of the Childhood Care and Development Committee, stated that the committee held a workshop entitled (Making Crowns and Masks) with about (75) children, in addition to games, sports, entertainment competitions, and distributing sweets to about (135) children.

For her part, Prof. Wafaa Fathi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the members of the Health Awareness Committee have provided awareness about the dangers of early marriage, methods of proper nutrition, methods of diagnosing breast cancers and the mechanism of dealing with them. Dr. Um Hashem Mahmoud and Dr. Hind Wajia participated in the awareness.

For his part, Prof. Metwally Abu Saree, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service and Environmental Development, stated that the agricultural convoy provided agricultural guidance to (20) farmers, where Dr. Mohamed Sabry provided guidance on various dairy products, the most important problems of their manufacture and appropriate preservation methods, while Dr. Mohamed Shteiwi provided guidance on eating strategic crops such as wheat and the strategy of increasing yield, and Dr. Ahmed Esteftah completed the awareness about the reclamation of degraded lands to increase productivity.
