The first phase of the Safety Pro training program in the basics of occupational safety and health

Within the endeavor framework of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, to prepare a team of university students capable of facing crises and disasters and fighting fire within university facilities in the education sector.

Under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater - President of the University, and Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed El Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration organized a training course on occupational safety and health policies for the “Safety Pro” team, on Tuesday 1/31/2023, for the lecturer, Eng. Rasha El-Sayed Ahmed, Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration at the university.

The course explained:

  • The concept and objectives of occupational safety and health.
  • Occupational safety and health legislation.
  • Safety missions for personal protection.
  • Classification of fires and appropriate extinguishers for each type.
  • Definition of work environment risks.

It is worth noting that the course includes a practical part of an extinguishing fire simulation.

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, especially the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, extends its thanks to Dr. Osama Ayyan - Dean of the Faulty of Science, and Prof. Muhammad Abu Al-Nour - Vice Dean of the Faulty of Science for Community Service and Environmental Development for the Faculty of Science hosting of the training course for the Safety Pro team.
