The convoy is organized in response to the Directions of the President emphasizing the vital role of universities in serving the community. It also  represents an integral component within the plan of both the Supreme Council of Universities and Mansoura University to provide Medical care throughout Egypt. The convoy also demonstrates the fruitful co-operation between Mansoura University, South Sinai Governorate and the Ministry of Health. It confirms the approach adopted by Mansoura University  concerning the societal and positive  role of the university. The convoy also shows the concern of the university, particularly the sector of community service and environmental development, with expanding its role in serving the community benifiting it with its academic expertise.

The convoy aims at providing integrated health care services in both medical and veterinary fields  in ELtour and Abo Redees in South Sinai Governorate and the neighboring areas. The convoy will start in El Tour General Hospital on the first and the second of July then in Abu Rdees on the third and fourth of July 2019. The convoy entails examining citizens in different medical specialties including ( anesthesia, general surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, urology surgery, ophthalmologic surgery, chest, dentistry, cardio-vascular diseases, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, neurology, gynecology and obstetrics and radiology).  The convoy will also provide free medications.

   The convoy comprises a veterinary team including four members of staff from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and a veterinarian from the Veterinary Directorate in Dakahlia. The convoy will examine the animals and birds in the two cities as well as the neighboring areas. Medicines will be provided free of charge. Instructions related to proper nutrition and health care for animals will be offered for owners. The convoy will also explain different methods of protection against stray dogs.
