Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, received Dr. Shrouk Zidan, the Executive Director of Vocational and Technical 

Education Development Program, on Monday 10^th of June 2019 to discuss ways of developing the Vocational and Technical Education and qualifying the graduates in Dakahlia Governorate and discuss details of a cooperation protocol to activate the cooperation between the Program and the University to develop the technical and vocational education in the Governorate. Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset assured in that meeting, which was attended by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligi, the significant role played by universities to contribute to the industrial development indicating that the Program is to carry out an ambitious plan to improve the human resources skills in Egypt as a part of the State's plan of on-going development to fill the gap in the local market and rely on skilled technical workers able to perform high-quality industrialization and create a new trained generation to manage different businesses which has a positive impact on the economic development and the decrease of unemployment ratio.

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligi pointed out that the university is concerned to cooperate with all institutions and initiatives to qualify the technical Education to form highly- trained technical cadres such as the Presidential initiative "Egypt's Craftsmen". He also stated that the university has a Vocational Development Center that will be the basic incubator for training cadres of technicians where they can be trained on life skills and business Entrepreneurship.
