Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Zahry, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Community Service and Environmental Development and Head of the University’s Self-Funding Resources Development Committee, a workshop entitled “Marketing Excellence” was held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Small Conference Hall of the University Administration Building, for the directors of the university’s specialized centers and units.

This workshop is the third in a series of consecutive workshops aimed at developing the performance of these centers, according to the development plan for the university’s specialized units, which was prepared based on a study of the actual needs of the human resources of these centers, and launched under the title “Professional Excellence Workshops.”

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Mohamed Ghoneim, faculty member at the Faculty of Commerce and Director of the University Performance Development Center. The workshop covered several key points and concepts in marketing, including:

• Historical stages of marketing development

• The difference between marketing and sales

• The seven Ps of the marketing mix

• The difference between products and services

• The nature of university services

The workshop concluded with a Q&A session to address the most significant marketing challenges faced by center directors in their management and daily work. The workshop was moderated by Professor Dr. Mohamed Zahry.

The workshop witnessed active participation from the directors of the specialized centers and units. It was coordinated by Dr. Reda Ibrahim, Director General of the Community Service Affairs Department, along with the department’s team.
