The Integrated Caravan in Al-Salahat Village – Beni Ebeid Center – Dakahlia Governorate, held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, aimed to provide comprehensive medical, awareness, and veterinary services to local residents.

Within the framework of the leading community role of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Mansoura University, and its ongoing commitment to supporting the most underserved villages, the integrated caravan was organized in Al-Salahat Village – Beni Ebeid Center – Dakahlia Governorate on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to deliver comprehensive medical, awareness, and veterinary services to the community.

The caravan was held under the patronage of:

  • Professor Dr. Sherif Khater – President of Mansoura University

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development

It was supervised by a distinguished group of specialized faculty members from Mansoura University, coordinated with college vice deans for Community Service and Environmental Development, and implemented in cooperation with the Haya Karima Foundation, affirming the integration of efforts to serve the local community.

🔹 Human Medical Caravan
The caravan provided medical examination, treatment, and referral services across a wide range of specialties, including:
Dermatology, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chest Diseases, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, and Dentistry.

The total number of beneficiaries reached 479 cases, with necessary referrals made for cases requiring further treatment at university hospitals, reflecting high performance efficiency and integrated medical specialties.

🔹 Veterinary Caravan
The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine implemented a therapeutic and awareness veterinary caravan, in cooperation with the Dakahlia Directorate of Veterinary Medicine. Free medical examinations and medications were provided, along with guidance and instructions to maintain animal health and proper care.

Services included:

  • Treatment and examination of 200 cattle and buffaloes

  • 150 sheep

  • 130 working animals

  • Examination of 2,000 poultry birds

This contributed to supporting livestock resources and improving the economic level of local residents.

🔹 Nursing and Health Awareness Caravan
In recognition of the importance of spreading health awareness, health education sessions were organized for women visiting the women’s clinic at the Family Medicine Center in the village. Key topics included:

  • Breast self-examination and its importance in early detection of breast cancer

  • Contraceptive methods and how to choose the appropriate method

  • Managing menstrual disorders among adolescent girls

  • Vaccinations for the prevention of cervical cancer

  • The importance of premarital medical examinations

These sessions helped enhance healthy and preventive behaviors and encouraged women to undergo regular medical follow-ups.

🔹 Safe Woman Unit
The caravan also included awareness and educational sessions on combating violence against women and introducing the role and services of the Safe Woman Unit. 51 women benefited from these sessions, along with the participation of 15 nursing staff members, reflecting attention to social and psychological dimensions alongside healthcare.
