Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Melegi, Vice President of The University for Community Service and Environmental Development, met on Monday morning, March 15, 2021, in the meeting room on the third floor of the University's administration building, with a number of specialists and experts at the University, To discuss a number of points related to the participation of Mansoura University in the national project for the development of Egyptian villages within the framework of the initiative "Dignified Life" to serve villages and hamlets, in addition to the governorate of Daqahliyah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Melegi referred to the experiences of Mansoura University and the support it can provide for the presidential initiative in the field of comprehensive convoys (medical, veterinary, agricultural, child development and care, awareness), Training in small enterprises, literacy, anti-addiction, entrepreneurship, Anti-Violence Against Women, training in various trades and skills, Mawada initiative and raising awareness for those who are about to get married, digital transformation and digital literacy, development of slums, development of public schools through the provision of whiteboard and infrastructure development, supporting people with special needs, developing children's talents and providing care for them, studying social problems in villages and studying ways to solve them.

He also pointed to the importance of cooperation and coordination with the relevant ministries and agencies to serve the community and achieve the desired goals of the initiative, with the implementation of courses to train small investors and raise their efficiency as well as courses for technical and industrial education and the implementation of innovative mechanisms for small projects, also the need for coordination between all the agencies and entities participating in the initiative, such as the bodies of the armed forces, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the General Authority for Adult Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Health, National Council for Women, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Small and Medium Enterprises Fund, Civil Society Institutions and Businessmen, In order to agree on mechanisms for cooperation to implement the "Decent Life" initiative, He also emphasized the importance forming teams, whether students or graduates, in collaboration with the team of Al-Mahrousa students, especially students living in the villages covered by the initiative, in order to participate in the development of these villages, as well as participate in awareness campaigns and all the activities and events that will be included in the initiative.

At the end of the meeting, a number of tasks and axes were assigned to each member, and "Al-Meligi" clarified the need for each member to prepare an action plan about how the university would participate in the implementation of the initiative according to the tasks assigned to him by establishing the mechanisms, activities and events that will be implemented in the field of each member's specialization, with a timetable for implementation.
