Meeting of the Committee of the Implementation of the National Project for Bikes

In response to the initiative of “ A Bike for Every Citizen” declared by President Abd El Fatah El Sisy and following the approval and directions of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding 

 
the formation of a committee for implementing the project in every university,  Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed El- Meligy  Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs held a meeting with the members of the committee to formulate the general framework for organizing the first Bike Festival  which is due during the last week of October2019 and targets students, personnel and staff Members.
The Initiative aims at changing citizens’ cultural concepts regarding daily commuting and encouraging them to use bikes rather than other means of transportation particularly those depending on fuels that lead to environmental  pollution. The initiative seeks to provide citizens with bicycles  at a reasonable price.
