In the framework of the activities of the President of the Republic for human development under the slogan "A New Beginning for Building a Human," and in light of the university's continuous message to serve the community and develop the environment,
The Childhood Care and Development Center, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Chairman of the Center's Board of Directors, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Riham Ahmed Afifi, Director of the Center, organized a humanitarian visit to the Pediatric Department at the Oncology Hospital.
The visit was led by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, who was received by Professor Dr. Walid El-Nahas, Director of the Oncology Center. Also present at the visit were Dr. Hossam El-Hilali, Coordinator of the "Decent Life" initiative in the President’s Office, Assistant Professor Riham Ahmed Afifi, Director of the Center, in addition to a number of teachers.
The visit included a series of recreational activities aimed at the children patients, which were organized and presented by a group of teachers from the Childhood Care and Development Center. Simple gifts were distributed to the children to bring joy and happiness to their hearts, despite their difficult health conditions.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim praised the importance of this humanitarian initiative, which reflects the university's commitment to supporting the local community and contributing to improving the quality of life for children. He emphasized that the university is always working to achieve sustainable development in various fields, particularly in healthcare. Dr. Hossam El-Hilali also noted that this visit is part of the state’s efforts and community initiatives aimed at providing psychological support to children and their families.
For his part, Professor Dr. Walid El-Nahas expressed his happiness with this visit, which is part of the ongoing collaboration between the Oncology Center and various community institutions. He praised the initiatives aimed at providing humanitarian care to children in the face of their illness.
This visit is part of a series of community activities organized by the Childhood Care and Development Center, which seeks to raise social awareness and spread the culture of psychological support for sick children, in line with the university's goals of achieving comprehensive human development and building a better future for individuals.
