The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a distinguished environmental day at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education on Monday, November 25, 2024, which included various events and activities. The event was attended by:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fayza Ahmed Abdel Razeq - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
  • Dr. Mostafa Amin Gaber - General Director of the General Administration for Environmental Projects at the Vice President's Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radwan Radwan Zaham - Associate Professor of Art Education for Children and Director of the Program for Training Kindergarten Teachers in English
  • Dr. Shaimaa Sobhy Mohamed - General Administration of Environmental Projects at the Vice President's Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development
  • Dr. Aya El Sayed El Araby - General Administration of Environmental Projects at the Vice President's Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development
  • Dr. Naseeba Gamal Abdel-Aty Mohamed - Assistant Professor in the Department of Curricula and Methods of Teaching Children

The event included several activities, starting with a seminar titled "Productive Culture as a Starting Point for Environmental and Community Development (My Child is Productive)," presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radwan Radwan Zaham, Associate Professor of Art Education for Children and Director of the Program for Training Kindergarten Teachers in English.

Then, Dr. Sara Mahmoud, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Basic Sciences, and Dr. Mona El-Morsi El Ashry, Teaching Assistant in the Department of Psychological Sciences, presented videos of activities carried out by field training students under their supervision to raise awareness among kindergarten children about environmental preservation concepts.

Next, the students of the Kindergarten Teacher Training Program in English presented a puppet theater performance about climate change under the supervision of Lecturer M. Khaloud Mohamed El Sayed El Sherbini, Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences.

After that, the attendees, together with guests of the faculty and a group of students, moved to the college's courtyard to participate in hanging recycling baskets made from recycled materials.

Later, they toured an exhibition organized by the students at the puppet theater, supervised by Dr. Samah Talaat Ahmed Abu Zaid, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences, to display educational tools created from recycled materials such as cardboard, wooden sticks, empty bottles, and other environmental materials.

The environmental day at the faculty concluded with a contribution from a group of students in planting some trees and plants in the faculty's garden.
