A Medical, Agricultural, and Awareness Caravan in the village of Shabraweesh - Aga - Dakahlia,
Community Service and Environmental Development Sector - Mansoura University.
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
As part of Mansoura University’s efforts to enhance its community and environmental role, a comprehensive medical, agricultural, and awareness caravan was organized to the village of Shabraweesh in the Aja Center, Dakahlia Governorate, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
The caravan witnessed active participation from several university faculties.

  • Medical Caravan:
    In the field of medical services, comprehensive care was provided in several specialties, with a team of specialized doctors participating in the examination and treatment. Over 500 cases were examined in the following specialties:

    • Rheumatology and Rehabilitation: 77 cases
    • Ear, Nose, and Throat: 58 cases
    • Ophthalmology: 91 cases
    • Pediatrics: 95 cases
    • General Surgery: 9 cases
    • Internal Medicine: 100 cases
    • Obstetrics and Gynecology: 30 cases
    • Dermatology: 74 cases
      The total number of cases dealt with was 534, and some cases were referred to specialized hospitals for further treatment.
  • Health Awareness (Safe Women’s Unit):
    As part of health awareness efforts, the caravan organized a program to educate 80 women and nurses who attended the caravan about the services of the Safe Women’s Unit. Mrs. Asmaa Khaled El-Dosouky, from the Safe Women’s Unit, provided a detailed explanation about women’s health prevention methods and how to handle emergency cases.

  • Agricultural Guidance for Farmers:
    In the agricultural field, the Faculty of Agriculture provided technical advice to farmers. The agricultural team, which included Dr. Mohamed Massad Nada and Dr. Lamiya Ibrahim El-Motawally, discussed the main recommendations related to winter crops, especially wheat, which is considered a strategic crop in Egypt. They also shared strategies for improving crop productivity in the region.

  • Faculty of Early Childhood Education:
    Regarding children, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education provided an educational and recreational program. The students organized face painting workshops for children using safe colors. They also presented movement-based singing performances and competitive games to develop children’s motor skills, in addition to presenting educational stories that aim to instill moral values and good behaviors in children.

  • Health Awareness for Women:
    Dr. Eman Ahmed Fadl, Assistant Professor of Women’s Health and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Nursing, gave an awareness lecture to women on the importance of reproductive health and early cancer screening. Educational brochures were distributed on self-care for women and newborn children.

The caravan also saw the attendance of Mr. Mohamed Abdel-Baki, Head of Aja Center and City, who followed one of the program's segments and expressed his admiration for the fruitful cooperation between the students and the community. He praised the positive role in developing children’s skills in a fun environment.
