A seminar titled "Voluntary Work" was held at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, as part of the activities under the Presidential Initiative for Human Development, themed "A New Beginning for Building Humanity", in celebration of the International
The event was conducted under the patronage of:

- Prof. Sahar Tawfiq Naseem – Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education

- Prof. Dina Abu El-Ala – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development
- Mr. Abdel Rahman Zaid – Director of Student Care, Faculty of Arts
The seminar was organized by the Community Awareness Committee, featuring a lecture by:
Eng. Rania Ahmed Fahim Ibrahim Al-Imam, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Child Education Principles at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education.
The seminar targeted students of the Faculty of Arts and covered several topics, including:
- The concept, types, and importance of voluntary work.
- Rights and responsibilities of volunteers.
- Examples of volunteering by prophets mentioned in the Qur'an.
- Volunteering among the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH).
- Mechanisms for promoting voluntary work among university students.
The session emphasized that the significance of volunteering extends beyond improving the lives of underprivileged individuals; it also enriches the personal lives of volunteers. Volunteering enhances personal and social skills, provides new experiences, and instills a sense of purpose. Participants were encouraged to embrace volunteering as a path to personal growth and self-enrichment, free from monotony, and full of new challenges that elevate one's perspectives.
At the end of the seminar, an open discussion was held to address students' questions and provide further guidance on voluntary work. The discussion highlighted the roles of families and society and underscored the influence of good role models in instilling values in younger generations.
