The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Mansoura University organizes the "Green Minds" initiative for sustainable development at Shajarat Al-Durr School in Mansoura,
under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of the University, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
As part of efforts to promote sustainable development concepts and environmental awareness, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Mansoura University organized a visit to Shajarat Al-Durr School in Mansoura City to implement the "Green Minds for Sustainable Development" initiative. The event was attended by several leaders and experts, including:
- Dr. Abeer Tokel, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University.
- Dr. Amr Gaber, Coordinator of Community Service Sector Activities at Mansoura University.
- Dr. Hossam El-Hilali, Coordinator of National Initiatives at the Office of the Vice President of Mansoura University.
- Dr. Ahmed Yehia, Director General of Education in Dakahlia.
- Dr. Ayman Rabie, Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Directorate in Dakahlia.
The program included a series of interactive activities focusing on experiential learning, covering important topics such as:
- Responsible consumption of food, water, and energy.
- Sustainable waste management.
- Achieving gender equality and reducing inequalities.
Additionally, the activities featured experimental games that helped students explore the consequences of misconceptions and negative environmental habits, thereby enhancing their awareness of the individual's role in protecting the environment and making a positive impact on society.
This initiative aims to empower students to adopt sustainable practices and inspire them to become change leaders in their communities, reflecting the school's commitment to fostering environmental awareness and promoting a culture of social responsibility.
