Awareness Caravan Titled "Moshoura" to Shabrawish Village, Affiliated with Aga Center, on Thursday, February 13, 2025

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, University President, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and led by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Guwaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Prof. Dr. Dina Abu El-Ala, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Arts organized an awareness caravan titled "Moshoura" to Shabrawish village, affiliated with Aga Center, on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

This initiative aligns with the Faculty of Arts' community role and was carried out in collaboration with the Addiction Combat Fund in Dakahlia and the Local Community Development Association in the village. The caravan addressed several key issues, including:

  • Identifying the causes of early divorce in the village.
  • Discussing factors leading to violence and bullying.
  • Raising awareness of the consequences of excessive electronic gaming.
  • Highlighting the dangers of e-cigarettes and drug abuse.

Speakers at the Caravan:

  • Prof. Dr. Dina Abu El-Ala discussed the societal changes in the village and their impact on social and moral issues.
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rania Abdel-Maqsoud, Assistant Professor of Sociology, led a community discussion on the causes of early divorce in rural areas.
  • Dr. Dalal Hassan, Lecturer in Sociology, addressed the issue of domestic violence and its role in spreading bullying.
  • Ms. Raghda Al-Shafei, PhD researcher, spoke about the harmful effects of electronic games and their connection to violence.
  • Mr. Islam Al-Bashlawi, Former Director of the Addiction Combat Fund in Dakahlia, provided a comprehensive overview of drug use and smoking, particularly e-cigarettes, and their social and health impacts.

Conclusion:
