Tourism Awareness for Students of Shagarat Al-Durr Preparatory School for Girls – College Museum Tour on Tuesday, February 11, 2025
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty, and led by Prof. Dr. Doaa Samir Hozza, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Caravans Department, in collaboration with the Tourism Guidance Department, organized the initiative "A Generation Aware of Tourism, History, and Heritage."
As part of this initiative, a "Museum Tour" workshop was held with the participation of 18 students from Shagarat Al-Durr Preparatory School for Girls on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Supervision and Organization:
- Prof. Dr. Mona Ezz – Head of the Tourism Guidance Department.
- Dr. Karim Ahmed Abdel-Fattah – Supervisor of the College Museum.
- Ms. Rania El-Sayed – Head of the Community Service and Caravans Department.
Workshop and Museum Tour Topics:
Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Abdel-Warith, from the Tourism Guidance Department, delivered an awareness lecture on tourism, heritage, and history, covering:
- The importance of tourism and heritage awareness.
- Explanation of selected artifacts.
- An overview of Egypt’s civilization through different eras.
School Supervision:
- Ms. Azza Sarhan – Principal of Shagarat Al-Durr Preparatory School for Girls.
- Ms. Heba Abdel-Azim – Social Specialist at the School.
This event was part of the faculty’s efforts to enhance tourism awareness among younger generations, strengthen their connection to their rich history, and foster a sense of belonging and heritage preservation.
