Meeting of the Board of Directors of Mansoura University Center for Adult Education Services – Thursday, February 27, 2025
As part of Mansoura University’s commitment to community service and environmental development, the Board of Directors of the Mansoura University Center for Adult Education Services held a meeting on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of the esteemed board members.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech by the chairman, who expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the board members and all staff working at the Adult Education Center. He emphasized the vital role the center plays in serving different segments of society.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim delivered an important address, highlighting the need to strengthen partnerships between educational institutions, businesses, and society as a whole to support adult education efforts. He stressed that in recent years, the Egyptian government has been working diligently to create a sustainable learning environment for all social groups by launching educational initiatives that provide high-quality learning opportunities, especially for those who were unable to complete their education earlier.
He also pointed out that Mansoura University is a pioneering model in this field, continuously striving to enhance its societal role through adult education programs. He affirmed that, in collaboration with government institutions and private companies, the university is committed to developing individuals’ skills across all age groups and providing the necessary support to help them achieve their educational and professional aspirations.
Additionally, he discussed the government’s ongoing efforts in adult education, highlighting national policies focused on empowering individuals by ensuring access to lifelong learning opportunities, particularly in addressing challenges such as illiteracy eradication and professional development.
Following the opening speech, the board moved on to discussing the center’s agenda, covering several key topics aimed at advancing the center’s mission in adult education. The discussions focused on curriculum development and modernization, as well as expanding the center’s reach to benefit a larger audience by leveraging modern educational technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim emphasized the importance of continuously improving the center’s programs and expanding the base of beneficiaries. He commended the board’s efforts in strengthening the center’s role, noting that adult education is not just an educational issue but a fundamental tool for achieving sustainable development for society as a whole.
