An Awareness Dialogue Session Titled "The Dangers of Addiction and Its Impact on the Individual and Society" at the Volunteer House at Mansoura University

Under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University,

And under the supervision and guidance of:

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Al-Okby, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity for Strategic Communication and Media, and General Coordinator of Social Solidarity Units at Egyptian Universities,

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Atiya, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs,

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs,

The Social Solidarity Unit at Mansoura University, in cooperation with the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Substance Abuse in Dakahlia Governorate, organized an awareness dialogue session titled "The Dangers of Addiction and Its Impact on the Individual and Society."

The session was delivered by Mr. Bilal Shaaban, General Supervisor of Preventive Programs at the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Substance Abuse in Dakahlia Governorate.

The session addressed key topics concerning the harmful effects of narcotic substances and their psychological and social impacts on youth, the role of the family and society in prevention, as well as highlighting the state's efforts to combat this phenomenon through therapeutic and awareness programs.

A discussion was opened with the students to answer their questions and clarify the available support avenues through the hotline 16023.

This session comes within the framework of the Social Solidarity Unit's commitment to raising community awareness and supporting prevention efforts against social risks within the university community.
