Opening of the Nile River International Forum for Fine Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts – Mansoura University
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University,
And organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts – Mansoura University,
With the participation of Van Gogh Egyptian Academy and SMD Indian Foundation,
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Supervisor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, inaugurated the activities of the “Nile River International Forum for Fine Arts.”
The forum activities began with the reception of the delegations at his office, followed by a free tour of the faculty departments.
After the tour, the opening ceremony commenced, during which Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim delivered the opening speech, welcoming the attendees and praising the historical, cultural, and artistic significance of the city of Mansoura.
Artist Mintu Deka, President of the Indian SMD Foundation, also delivered a speech expressing his appreciation for the excellent organization and warm hospitality by Mansoura University.
Prof. Dr. Mahua Mukherjee delivered an opening address for the forum.
The opening speeches were concluded by artist Rania Gad, President of the Egyptian Van Gogh Academy, who gave a welcoming speech that included an introduction to the academy and the forum’s objectives.
The celebration continued throughout the first day of the forum, with the Faculty of Fine Arts choir presenting musical performances.
Artist Amitava Mukherjee also performed a special song dedicated to the forum, which he both wrote and sang.
