“Basmat Khair Clothing Exhibition”

On Monday, May 26, 2025, Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, inaugurated the charitable event “Basmat Khair Clothing Exhibition,” organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, headed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The event was supervised by Dr. Sahar Tawfiq, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, in cooperation with the Egyptian Clothing Bank and several civil society organizations. It was held at the Faculty Members Club.

The opening was attended by Dr. Mohamed Atiya El-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, deans of various faculties, Mr. Saad Abdel Wahab, Secretary-General of the University, faculty vice-deans, a number of teaching staff, and members of the organizing committee.

The exhibition was organized in celebration of the upcoming Eid al-Adha and reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to its societal role by providing continuous support and comprehensive care for its students. The event will run for four days, concluding on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Dr. Sherif Khater emphasized that the university remains committed to its societal responsibilities through a variety of initiatives aimed at supporting students and fostering a cohesive campus environment that nurtures a sense of belonging and unity.

He noted that such events are a true embodiment of the university’s vision to be a comprehensive care umbrella for its students, adding that the university actively collaborates with civil society institutions to maximize the benefits for all its members.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim stated that the exhibition features over 12,000 items of clothing, shoes, and bags suitable for students of various ages and sizes. He confirmed that the exhibition will continue for four days and highlighted the sector’s dedication to offering continuous community care and support to all university affiliates through various events throughout the year.
