As part of its commitment to fulfilling its societal role and responsibility toward its members and promoting health awareness, the Faculty of Pharmacy – Mansoura University hosted the "Free Egyptian Liver Medical Convoy" on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in collaboration with the Prof. Dr. Gamal Shiha Foundation for Science, Culture, and Sustainable Development, and under the supervision of the Egyptian Liver Hospital, at the faculty’s Light Hall.

This initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater – President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, led by Prof. Dr. Manal Mohamed Eid – Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Hany Ibrahim Qenawy – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Bashir – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Assistant Prof. Dr. Merihan Maqlad – Director of the Professional Master’s Program in Immunology and Regenerative Medicine, along with a number of faculty members and Ms. Amal Abdel Gawad – General Manager of the Faculty.

The convoy aimed to provide comprehensive medical services to faculty members, staff, and students. Its services included medical tests, radiology, internal medicine consultations, and therapeutic nutrition, all supervised by a team of distinguished doctors.

The faculty administration extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to the Prof. Dr. Gamal Shiha Foundation for Science, Culture, and Sustainable Development and the Egyptian Liver Hospital for this generous initiative and fruitful collaboration. Special thanks were given to Mr. Mohamed El-Waseef – Executive Director of the Foundation, Ms. Inas Sittit – Director of the Foundation’s Administrative Affairs, and the dedicated team (doctors, nurses, and administrative staff), whose efforts greatly contributed to the success of the convoy’s activities.
