Convening of Session No. 263 of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council at Mansoura University on July 9, 2025

Today, Session No. (263) of the Community Service and Environmental Development Council at Mansoura University was held on July 9, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of esteemed council members from inside and outside the university.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim opened the session with a welcoming speech, in which he expressed his appreciation and pride in the presence of the council members, emphasizing the importance of national unity and supporting the political leadership in all its decisions. He stressed the need for joint efforts to serve the community and enhance the university’s role in societal and developmental issues.

During the session, he praised the efforts of the Adult Education and Literacy Center under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Asmaa El-Hady, expressing his gratitude for the center's tangible achievements. He honored her and presented a shield of appreciation in recognition of her outstanding efforts and dedication in the field of literacy and community service.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Asmaa El-Hady expressed her gratitude for this recognition and confirmed that the accomplishments were made possible by the full and direct support of the university. She pointed to the effective work protocols and fruitful cooperation that contribute to achieving the developmental goals of the center.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Azim also extended condolences for the martyrs of duty at Ramses Central, praying for God's mercy upon them. He affirmed that the university always stands by the families of martyrs and the injured, as part of its societal and national role.

As part of the presentation on the efforts of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, he showcased a detailed presentation highlighting the sector’s key achievements, including:

  • Honoring the outgoing vice deans of faculties and thanking them for their outstanding contributions.

  • Welcoming Prof. Dr. Rabab Ibrahim to her new role as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

  • The sector’s attainment of the ISO 26000 certificate for social responsibility and the renewal of the ISO 9001 certificate for the quality system at the General Administration.

A range of ideas, activities, and initiatives related to the community service agencies in various faculties were also discussed, along with updates on projects and construction and service developments in the university's medical centers—contributing to the provision of distinguished medical and educational services to the community.

The meeting also addressed the activities of the various committees affiliated with the sector, their responsibilities, and future plans to enhance the effectiveness of community engagement both inside and outside the university.

The session concluded with a discussion of the agenda specific to the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and an exchange of views among members on mechanisms to activate community partnerships. At the end of the session, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President of the University – expressed his gratitude to all vice deans and council members from within and outside the university for their sincere and ongoing efforts in supporting and developing the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector.
