Mansoura University Organizes Orientation Workshops on the Visual Identity of Its Faculties and Medical Centers

As part of its efforts to develop institutional performance and enhance its visual identity in line with international standards, Mansoura University organized a series of orientation workshops on visual identity. This came after the completion of designing the official visual identity and the approval of its guideline by the University Council, with a recommendation to circulate it across all faculties, centers, and affiliated hospitals.

The workshops aimed to familiarize target groups with the components of the visual identity and mechanisms for applying it in a professional and unified manner within the university. The program was conducted intensively over four days, with the following schedule:

  • A workshop for engineering, technological, and scientific faculties (Engineering, Computers and Information, Agriculture, Science, Specific Education, Fine Arts).

  • A workshop for theoretical and humanities faculties (Law, Commerce, Arts, Dar Al-Uloom, Education, Physical Education, Tourism and Hotels).

  • A workshop for medical faculties (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine).

  • A workshop for the University Hospitals and Medical Centers sector.

The first workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, who emphasized in his speech that the visual identity is a cornerstone in strengthening the university’s institutional image, reflecting its vision, and academic and social values. He pointed out that developing the identity comes within the university’s efforts toward digital transformation and institutional excellence, supporting its orientation toward achieving the highest standards of professionalism in institutional communication locally and internationally.

Work on the visual identity project extended over six months and was carried out by a joint academic and technical team from the Faculties of Fine Arts and Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, with the participation of Dr. Mohamed Shawky Abu Leila (Head of the Architecture Department, Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Reem Khairy (Supervisor of Community Service Sector, Faculty of Fine Arts), Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Shehata (Assistant Professor, Department of Graphics), Omar Tarek Hamed Al-Ghoul (Assistant Lecturer, Department of Interior Design), Ibrahim Taher Ibrahim (Teaching Assistant, Department of Graphics), and Lara Ahmed Mahmoud El-Gendy (Teaching Assistant, Department of Graphics).

During the workshops, the Fine Arts team presented the design elements of the visual identity, which included:

  • The official logo and wordmark: “With knowledge, we build a nation; with creativity, we shape the future.”

  • Approved colors and fonts.

  • Unified templates for official documents, certificates, ID cards, and souvenirs.

  • Mechanisms for applying the identity to the university website, social media pages, buildings, signage, facilities, and internal transportation.

The workshops also stressed the importance of adhering to the visual identity guideline and coordinating with the visual identity team before any use or modification to ensure visual consistency and institutional professionalism.

The workshops witnessed positive interaction from participants, with open discussions and responses to inquiries, alongside practical demonstrations on how to use the approved templates and apply the identity to the various activities and outputs of faculties and medical centers.

Through this step, Mansoura University reaffirms its commitment to comprehensive institutional development and strengthening its visual distinction, which consolidates its position among Egyptian and regional universities and aligns with its future aspirations.
