The 11th Scientific Meeting for Graduates of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University: Enhancing Professional Skills and Awareness of Professional Ethics

As part of the "A New Beginning for Building the Human" initiative for human development launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in line with the strategic plan for community responsibility at Mansoura University, the Faculty of Nursing is committed to fulfilling its societal role in serving the community and enhancing the skills of its graduates.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and led by Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Prof. Dr. Wafaa Fathy Selim, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the meeting was supervised by Associate Prof. Dr. Widad Saber Shafik, Director of the Graduate Follow-Up Unit, and organized by unit members Associate Prof. Dr. Sajida Magdy, Associate Prof. Dr. Sally Mohamed El-Sayed, Dr. Nora Mohamed, and Dr. Nesma Mahmoud.

The Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University organized the 11th Scientific Meeting for its graduates on Monday, December 15, 2024, aimed at developing graduates' professional skills and raising awareness about professional ethics.

The meeting featured several distinguished topics, including:

  • A seminar on the licensing exam for internship students presented by Associate Prof. Dr. Amira Abdel Moneim, covering preparation for the exam and the requirements for professional licensing.
  • A seminar on personal branding delivered by Associate Prof. Dr. Widad Saber, focusing on building a personal brand and effective communication in the job market.
  • Associate Prof. Dr. Sally Mohamed gave a seminar on the ethics of the nursing profession and combating corruption to promote adherence to professional values.
  • A seminar on patients' rights by Ms. Hala Khaled Abdel Karim, a nursing specialist at the Children’s Hospital, which addressed patients’ rights and mechanisms for interacting with them.

Additionally, several students were honored for their active participation in community service and environmental development activities:

  • Student Osama Mahmoud El-Metwally
  • Student Khaled Hammam Osman
  • Student Abdel Moneim Mohamed Abdel Moneim

Graduate Mohamed Marwan was also recognized for being honored by 57357 Hospital during his internship period.

The meeting reflected the Faculty’s commitment to providing ongoing professional and academic support to its graduates, equipping them with knowledge and skills aligned with the requirements of the labor market.
