Participation of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit in a Seminar Titled "Activating the Role of Youth in Combating Violence Against Women" at Ibn Luqman Preparatory School in Mansoura
Under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Supervised by Dr. Samah Al-Saeed, Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at Mansoura University, with the participation of Dr. Yomna Alaa Ghoneim, Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and a member of the Executive Office of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit, in a seminar titled "Engaging Youth in Combating Violence Against Women" as part of the activities of the 16-day campaign.
The seminar addressed the role of youth in combating violence against women, introducing them to the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at Mansoura University, its objectives, activities, and key initiatives aimed at involving young men and women to promote the concept of equality in rights and duties. It also highlighted the support and assistance services provided by the unit concerning violence in general and violence against women specifically, and ways to volunteer and work within the unit's team.
The seminar was held in the auditorium of Ibn Luqman Preparatory School for Boys and was attended by 150 students from 5 preparatory, secondary, and technical schools. The seminar also featured the participation of Dr. Ashraf Al-Arabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Dakahlia; Engineer Hala Ismail, Chairwoman of the Bent El-Ard Association in Mansoura; and Sheikh Ali Al-Sayed Atiyah from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
