An educational awareness caravan for children to develop their creative and social skills, under the supervision of the Community Awareness Committee.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development,
the Community Awareness Committee organized an outreach caravan to the city of Itay El Baroud in collaboration with the students of the Early Childhood Education College, Montessori Program, at Masa Sports Club on Monday, May 5, 2025.

The aim of the festival was to develop children's creative and social skills and to promote the Montessori philosophy in an interactive manner. The college students engaged with more than 200 children, offering them an integrated educational and recreational experience. The day included a wide variety of cultural, scientific, artistic, physical, and entertainment activities that the children thoroughly enjoyed.

Among the day's activities:

  • Cultural Activities:
These included a cultural and science corner where children learned about the continents and their unique characteristics through the continents puzzle and a colorful globe. They also explored the parts of insects such as the butterfly through the insect cabin and learned about the parts of a tree and other engaging activities.

  • Sensory Activities:
These featured knobless cylinders, which help develop children's visual discrimination of dimensions, enabling them to observe differences in height, width, and depth among the cylinders.

  • Mathematics Corner:
Included activities with geometric shapes where children became familiar with different forms. They also explored numbers and their sequences using the hundred board, red and blue rods, among other tools.

  • Practical Life Corner:
Included clothing frames that teach children self-reliance and develop fine motor skills.

Additionally, emotional development activities were introduced, where the self-control board played a key role in helping children express and understand their feelings correctly.
This boosted their ability to handle various situations calmly and confidently. These activities had a significant impact on the children, helping them develop their social and communication skills in an interactive and motivating environment.

Skill-based Activities:
Included puzzles, visual skill games, and the colored cups game, which encouraged competition among the children and enhanced their focus, attention, and speed. The game was both fun and exciting for them. There were also physical games in which children participated with their families in a joyful and cheerful atmosphere.

Art Activities:
Included free coloring with different colors, making accessories from beads, and the magical message activity, which captivated the children's interest as they enjoyed writing their personal messages.

This event was a lively and distinctive experience where the children enjoyed all the activities provided and participated enthusiastically in all the educational and recreational corners. This created a stimulating environment for them to explore and enjoy new skills in a cheerful and happy atmosphere. Parents also expressed their great happiness with the students’ participation and praised their positive impact on their children, requesting similar events to be held again due to their significant role in enhancing children's abilities and developing their skills.
