About the Sector
This sector was established after the issuance of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1142 of 1988 on determining the competencies of the Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs as follows:
- Supervising the preparation of plans and programs that ensure the achievement of the university’s role in community service and environmental development.
- Supervising the administration of the Special Units Affairs that provide their services or some of their services to non-students except University Hospitals.
- Supervising university facilities that provide services to non-students.
- Supervising the implementation of training programs of all kinds for government and private sector employees, whether it is continuous training or training courses.
- Studying college reports and recommendations of scientific conferences with regard to community service and environmental development before submitting them to the University Council.
- Follow-up on the implementation of the decisions of the Universities’ Supreme Council and the University Council in in the affairs of community service and environmental development.
