Discussing Potential Collaboration between Mansoura University and the National Council for women in Dakahlia
Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, met on Monday morning, February 23, 2021, in His Excellency's Office, with Prof. Amina Ibrahim Shalabi, Professor of Cognitive Psychology, Former Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, President of the National Council for Women in the Governorate of Daqahliyah, and Prof Sahar Abdul Aziz Al-Dakrouri, Professor and former Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, and a member of the National Council of Women.
In the presence of Dr. Mustafa Amin Jaber, Director of the General Adminstration of Environmental Projects, to discuss a number of issues related to a mutual collaboration between Mansoura University and the National Council of Women through a joint cooperation protocol aimed at activating cooperation between the two sides and developing specialized programs that serve the women's sector and society, and mechanisms for implementing these programs, They also highlighted future projects for women and the best ways to implement them in order to achieve the university's role in serving the community, The meeting also included a discussion on the establishment of the “Saniaat Elsaada” or “Happiness Makers” Forum, and also a conference on mothers with disabilities dedicating one day for each type of disability within the framework The President initiative “Hayah Kareema” or “Dignified Life”, and future cooperation with the University in the establishment of the permanent exhibition for students organized annually by Mansoura University.
Also, the two sides discussed the different forms of collaboration with the Anti-Violence Against Women’s Unit at Mansoura University and the Medical Unit for Women at the faculty of Medicine for providing medical services and essential support to women victims. They would also organize a number of awareness campaigns with the university to raise awareness of the dangers cyberbullying and how to deal with them and the legal procedures that must be taken in the case of exposure to these types of bullying. In addition, they would collaborate to launch campaigns for raising awareness about the dangers of addiction and drug control. The meeting also discussed the cooperation with the implementation committee of the Presidential Initiative "Egypt's Industrialism", In addition to organizing a campaign within Mansoura University to detect osteoporosis and how to prevent it.
The two parties also discussed the role of the National Council for Women in developing the Egyptian countryside. The meeting also involved the ways to collaborate with Mansoura University in this regard, which would benefit many Egyptian families in general and women in particular from the social, educational and health aspects.
