Hawass Speaks about the Secrets of the Pharaohs in a Symposium at Mansoura University

In his speech, Prof. El Meligi stated that Prof. Hawass is an Egyptian icon who was able, through hard work, to move from regionality to universality.
Also, Prof Mohamed Ghoneim, a Mansoura University Professor of Sociology, indicated that Prof. Hawass is nickednamed the Egyptian Pharaoh for his commitment to the Egyptian Monuments and antiquity cause. He also added that Hawass was celebrated by national Geographic Channel through a documentary on his life, contributions, and awards.
Prof. Hawass expressed his happiness on visiting Mansoura University for the first time. He also stressed the idea that a person should love his work to achieve success. He drew an example from his personal life as in his beginning he was not satisfied with office work at the Ministry of Antiquity till he moved to work in the field of excavations in the desert where he started to acquire archeological skills, then he received a study grant in the USA which added to his knowledge a lot. Afterwards, he showed pictures of his late archeological discoveries in the Western Valley of Kings.
Prof. Hawass declared that the date for opening the Grand Egyptian Museum and the area of the Pyramids is approaching, a thing which will happen in a ceremony graced by the attendance of President, Abd Elfatah Elsisi. During this ceremony, the music of Tut Ankh Amun’s opera will be played.
