    Mansoura University Holds an Honoring Ceremony for the Families of Military Operations Martyrs and Causalities:

    An honoring ceremony for the families of military operations martyrs and causalities took place in Mansoura university on 15th

     

     

     

    April 2019 on the margin of the 14th educational symposium organized by the armed forces in Egyptian universities and specialized institutes. The event was held under the auspices of colonel general Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defence; the directorship of Lieutenant General Mohamed Farid, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and Prof. Kamal Sharobeem, Dakahlia Governor; and Prof. Ashraf Abd El- Basset, President of Mansoura University. The symposium was also attended by Prof.  Mahmoud el –Meligi, the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Major General  Basem Ezat, Chief of Veterans and War Victims Society; Major General Mohamed Hegy Security General Director of Dakahlia, and Lieutenant Colonel Tamer El Awady, Director of Military Education in Mansoura University as well as a number of deans, staff members and students.

             Lieutenant General khaled Mostafa Tawfeek delivered a lecture entitled “Protectors of Egypt.” Ms . Nashwa El-Hofy from the media sector also lectured on “Egypt and the Challenges of National Security.” Pro. Asharf Abd El-Baset, President of Mansoura university stressed the fact that at present, Egypt is at  war with terrorism which is as fierce as that of the sixth of October. He stated that modern wars aim at controlling the mind with a view to destroying countries. He added that these conditions led the Egyptian armed forces to play a role in awareness raising through symposia. In this way, the armed forces will help enable citizens in general and students in particular to be familiar with all the dangers facing our country. This role is played side by side with the traditional duty of protecting our borders.

              The symposium was ensued with a performance presented by chorus of childhood development center in Dakahlia and a play on the sacrifices of the Egyptian armed forces. At the end of the symposium, the families of some military operations’ martyrs and causalities in north Sinai  were honored.
