On Sunday 17/5/2015 Professor Kenawi, the President of Mansoura university launched a national campaign to support the Emergency 

hospital, with the honorable attendance of Prof. Magda Nasr, the Vice- president for Higher Studies and Research, Professor El-Melegi, the Vice-president for Community Service and Environment Development, Deans of faculties, staff- members, businessmen, investors, youth and civil society bodies. The hospital director stressed the role played by the hospital to provide free medical services to five neighbouring governorates; the hospital also receives 800 cases in the reception days and its staff performs 50 operations daily; 63% of which are mostly orthopedic surgeries. Professor El-Melegi stressed the role of voluntary work and societal partnership of youth at different ages, businessmen and investors in supporting the hospital to provide specialized medical services to all patients especially the emergency cases.  The Community Sector will organize the activities of this campaign which will continue for 100 days including charity artistic parties and marathons.
