On Sunday, 25^th of September 2016, Prof. Mohammed El-Kenawy, the University President; Prof. Zaki Zidan, the University Vice–President for 

Community Service and Environment Development; Prof. Ashraf  Abdul – Basset, the University Vice- President for Education and Student Affairs opened the Orientation and Welcome Fair of the Community Service and Environment Development Sector which took place during the period of 25^_ 29 Sept. 2016 at the Faculty of Engineering. The fair included orientations of the services offered by University’s Units and Centers; an information- desk for the sector’s activities to help students, administrators, and teaching staff participate in the sector’s community and environment service teams; a workshop unit; and free courses for students.

          The Orientation and Welcome Fair aimed at:

·        Introducing the different activities of the sector to promote the community and environment awareness of the university’s students and all related personnel. 

·        Introducing the services offered by the sector for the university and the surrounding community.

·        Promoting students’ community participation for the benefit of the society.

·        Developing the spirit of societal cooperation, and elevating the national and societal values.

Connecting the university with the outer-community.
