Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Industries Support Center

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs met with the members of the Board of Directors of the Small and Medium Industries Support Center today, Monday, December 4, 2023 AD, in the presence of the following:

Prof. Osama Ibrahim Al-Ayyan - Dean of the College of Science, . Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shata - Dean of the College of Agriculture, Prof. Mohieddin Ismail - Dean of the College of Specific Education,Dr. Ahmed Tharwat - Director of the Industries Support Center Small and medium enterprises at the university, Accountant Ahmed Salah Ahmed - General Manager of the United Bank branch in Dakahlia Governorate, Mr. Khaled Al-Baili - Deputy Director of the Projects Authority of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Imad Khader Abu Zeid - Director of Your Project Management at the Office of Dakahlia Governorate, Mrs. A / Amira Al-Sabki - Undersecretary of the Information Systems and Digital Transformation Department, Mrs. Wafa Al-Sayyed Othman - Director of the Graduate Youth Department.

At the beginning, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim welcomed the guests and ratified the minutes of the previous session (the Council was briefed). His Excellency also indicated that this center contributes to the best event in the country, which is participation in small and medium industries. He directed his words to the members of the center, explaining that they must know The center’s plan and its needs to support industries and consider restructuring the center’s board of directors. Dr. Khaled Al-Baili explained that he met with Dr. Ahmed Tharwat - director of the center and discussed with him the obstacles and impediments facing the center. For his part, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel Azim added that (when I succeed in what I do... I am entrusted with it, as I am the widest circle of activity) and that entrepreneurship here is like a child for whom we must look for a father, and there must be university consultations to support industries, and the community must be educated through the house of expertise, which is the university. He spoke about the services that the center must provide and the extent of benefiting from them, and urged to Linking the Projects Authority with the governorate, the center, the Decent Life Program, and the citizen who wants to benefit. Mr. Dr. Director of the Center also explained the center’s requirements and the fees required of the citizen requesting the service and submitted a request for cooperation with the Decent Life Program. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel Azim approved the request for the Decent Life Program. He urged the establishment of a cooperation protocol to provide services, expertise, and financing projects. He explained that the goal of this session is to change state support to serving people. He urged the holding of a conference for the Small and Medium Industry Support Center and its role in supporting a decent life, and that he is waiting for the director of the center to provide a treatment prescription for this center and to present it at the conference. In conclusion, His Excellency thanked all the attendees for their interaction and valuable contributions to the discussions and efforts made. He also stressed the importance of joint work and dedication to work, as it represents a fundamental basis for achieving the strategic goals and desired results.
