Art, Literature and Society Symposium at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater - President of the University and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Mohamed - Vice President of the University for Community Service, Environmental Development and Entrepreneurship Affairs Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif - Dean of the College and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Doaa Samir Hazza - Vice Dean of the College for Community Service, Environmental Development and Organization Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Hammad - Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism Studies and a member of the College’s Community Service and Environmental Development Committee and the gentlemen members of the committee, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Zuhri - Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs Dear faculty members, the supporting staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, the administrative body, and community parties... a symposium was held today entitled “Art, Literature, and Society.” The guest of the symposium was the artist/ Ahmed Sabry Ghobashi, an Egyptian actor and writer. The symposium was presented by Dr. Reham Mamdouh Abdel Maqsoud - Director of the Unit. Quality assurance and performance evaluation at the college. The symposium began with the Republican anthem and the Holy Qur’an in the voice of student Hassan Haris, third year, Department of Tourism Studies.
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, pointed out the role of Egyptian drama and various artistic works in shaping societal awareness and becoming a protective shield for minds in confronting any extremist ideas or acts of distortion against our beloved country... and what the works contribute. Various artistic forms of soft power correct concepts, consolidate heroism and sacrifices among young people, call for the stability of the homeland, and enhance the spirit of belonging and national identity...
Prof. Dr. Doaa Samir Hazza - Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs stressed the importance of loving the homeland and standing behind our Egyptian state as one in light of the challenges the region is witnessing at the regional and global levels and inviting attendees to participate in the presidential elections from 10 to 12 December 2023. .... Prof. Ahmed Adel Hammad - Member of the College’s Community Service and Environmental Development Committee expressed the importance of the role of art in shaping community awareness and its role in promoting the Egyptian tourist destination and highlighting the unique tourist places in our beloved country, Egypt, and then introducing the guest of the symposium.. The artist / Ahmed Sabry Ghobashi - discussed the role of artistic works in presenting a message to society and its continued impact for many generations, and presented examples of purposeful art and its positive effects on the behavior of individuals. At the end of the symposium, the journalist / Ahmed Gad - program preparer and presenter for Al-Asimah Channel, opened the door for questions and discussion in the middle. Great interaction from the attendees. Then the guest of the symposium and the organization were honored.
