Convoy of the Guidance Center in Damas, Mit Ghamr Center, Faculty of Agriculture, Sunday 12/31/2023

Based on the role of the community service and environmental development sector in providing support to the community in various sectors, especially the agricultural sector, with the aim of improving this vital sector. The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the College of Agriculture, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Metwally Muhammad Abu Saree, Vice Dean of the College, and with the participation of the faculty members of the College, represented by Dr. Walid Ali Al-Saadi, Professor in the Vegetables Department at the College, in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture in Dakahlia, conducted a guidance convoy to the Guidance Center in Damas, in the city of Mit Ghamr. Under the title of climate change and its impact on crop productivity, within a series of guidance convoys that are implemented by the community service and environmental development sector at the college, in the presence of a number (25) from various sectors of society (agricultural - educational - local).

The convoy discussed the definition of climate, its elements, climate changes resulting from global warming, the greenhouse gases that cause global warming, the natural and artificial causes of climate changes, and the extent of the impact of these changes on the growth and productivity of crops. Then learn about the most important solutions for adaptation and reducing the damage resulting from climate change, with a focus on some procedures for environmentally friendly preventive and remedial programs that have a fundamental impact on endurance and resistance to these changes with the aim of protecting crops in the various stages of growth and crossing them safely towards achieving the highest rates of growth and productivity. Quality recipes and high marketing ability, while clarifying the role that the state plays in various fields to reduce the negative effects resulting from climate change and holding the World Climate Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh for the year 2022-2023. The meeting received active participation from the attendees because of the importance it represents for national and social security. (Water security - food security) for our beloved Egypt.
