Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs met with the work teams in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, hosted by the College of Arts, today, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, and they are:
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jaidi - Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ziadeh - Vice Dean of the College of Physical Education for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Metwally Abu Saree - Vice Dean of the College of Agriculture for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi - College Vice Dean Medicine for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Jad - Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol - Professor at the College of Engineering, Dr. Shaima Taher - Lecturer at the College of Fine Arts.
His Excellency discussed the agenda, including preparing scientific materials, training lecturers, making an implementation plan, logistical needs, implementation documentation, studying the results, modifying the scientific content, revising lecturers, cultural awareness campaigns among students, talking about sports cultures, and then translating the topics into scientific material and creating the matrix. Then Prof. Dr. Khaled Ziadeh added that a complete plan had been made for the physical fitness system, paying attention to the sports health of all university employees, taking care of holding a sports day within the university, and determining the logistical matters required of the university. Then Prof. Dr. Metwally said that some training courses should be conducted, including (a course on nutrition - education - dairy manufacturing - perfume manufacturing - website and program design - handicrafts - and advertising), and then some colleges can be used to produce scientific material for these courses. He pointed out the necessity of professionalizing professions and their benefits. Then Prof. Ghada Al-Qunaishi talked about awareness campaigns about first aid, breastfeeding, and women’s health, targeting the internal and external community, as well as orphanages and technical schools for girls. Among the logistical requests that you will need is making awareness videos and uploading them to the page. The college and the medical convoys’ need for necessary supplies and the formation of teams. Then Dr. Shaima discussed re-photography workshops and arts workshops. Then Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol moved on to talk about the “Draw a Future” initiative, as it includes technological skills targeting many groups such as children and youth, and a college can be chosen every month. He appointed various colleges of the university to work on the initiative and train one of them to continue the initiative in the college. His Excellency the Representative suggested that the beginning of the initiative could be in the College of Medicine and Arts. In the end, His Excellency set next Sunday as the date for handing over the work teams and executive plans.
