Today, Sunday, January 21, 2024 AD, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, honored the winners of the “Mansoura University Excellence Awards,” the second session 2023, during the celebration organized by Mansoura University in cooperation with the administration of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
In the presence of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel Khaleq, former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Al-Hilali El-Sherbiny, former Minister of Education, Prof. Reda Abdel Salam, former Governor of Sharqia, Prof. Yahya Al-Mashad, President of Delta University, Prof. Dr. Moawad Al-Kholy, President of New Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Montaser Dowidar, President of Samannoud Technological University, Prof. Enas Abdel Halim, Member of the House of Representatives, Prof. Dr. Nisreen Omar, Member of the House of Representatives, Prof. Dr. Walaa Abdel Fattah, Member of the House of Representatives, Dean Ahmed Al-Deghaidy, the military advisor in Dakahlia Governorate, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and General Supervisor of Awards, Prof. Dr. Tariq Ghaloush, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies. and research, the former Vice Presidents of the University, the representatives of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the Ministry of Planning, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of Educational Institutions Awards, Ms. Esraa Hosni, the Specialized Awards Officer, the deans and deans of colleges, Prof. Dr. Nisreen Shalaby Nisreen Shalaby Director Quality Assurance Center and Chairman of the Internal Awards Committee at Mansoura University, Heads of Government Excellence Awards Teams, College Coordinators.
Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater stressed that the Mansoura University Excellence Award comes within the framework of the Egyptian state’s ongoing efforts to continue comprehensive and sustainable reform processes in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to raise the state’s competitiveness and leadership, which requires the formation of an administrative apparatus. Efficient and effective, he applies governance concepts, contributes to achieving development, and responds to citizens’ requests to enhance Egypt’s global position.
He pointed out that the award aims to stimulate the spirit of competition among the administrative apparatus as well as between the various university units, and to shed light on the distinguished practices in providing services, which in turn contribute to achieving the satisfaction of customers and strategic partners, which establishes the values of giving, belonging and excellence, and motivates everyone to raise levels of performance and adherence to quality standards. And excellence by honoring those who excel financially and morally.
He added that Mansoura University's celebration of the Excellence Awards (second session 2023), which is a motivating event for the administrative apparatus of the Egyptian state, inspiring for its employees, and full of energy and positivity, is part of the Egyptian state's ongoing efforts to continue comprehensive and sustainable reform processes.
At the end of his speech, he also announced that the value of the prizes would be doubled in order to encourage the winners this year and motivate the prize participants during the next session.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim said that Mansoura University has many points of distinction and the university’s participation in excellence competitions so that it has a great reality reflected in documentation, and that the university throughout the ages is most distinguished by human cadres and that all the achievements that have emerged are the result of the efforts of human cadres. They worked hard and worked hard to achieve these achievements.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam pointed out that excellence is not a mere coincidence, but rather an inevitable result of continuous efforts and a passion for uniqueness and leadership. Over the course of three years for the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, continuous work and effort, and in pursuit of the competitive award, Mansoura University, through its leadership and work teams, was keen to develop and improve the levels of Performance to excel in all categories of the award, and with the launch of the internal awards system for excellence, which aims to localize and consolidate government excellence, which had a great impact in raising the readiness of institutions and sustaining their excellence.
Prof. Dr. Nisreen Shalaby Nisreen Shalaby indicated that the objectives of the Mansoura University Excellence Award are: encouraging competition between the university’s various units, spreading a culture of quality and excellence at the level of the administrative apparatus, enhancing the spirit of innovation and creativity, shedding light on successful models and practices at the university, building an institutional model that applies concepts Governance and Sustainability The award includes the innovative initiative in its three categories: the work teams category; Colleges category, creativity and innovation category.
