Symposium on “Adolescent Health, Male and Female Youth, Population, Environment, Women’s Empowerment, and Violence against Women” Thursday, February 15, 2024
Under the patronage of Mr. Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and Mr. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
And the leadership of Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Al-Ayyan - Dean of the College of Science and Professor Dr. Amina Al-Nimr - Dean of the College of Nursing and the supervision of Professor Dr. Muhammad Fathi Abu Al-Nour - Vice Dean of the College of Science for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
Mrs. Professor Dr. Wafa Fathi Saleem, Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, organized the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector.
An awareness symposium was held on “Adolescent Health, Male and Female, Youth, Population, Environment, Women’s Empowerment, and Violence against Women” on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the College of Nursing. The awareness symposium lectures were delivered by: Dr. Shaima Fouad - Assistant Professor at the College. Nursing and Dr. Rania Al-Atrebi, Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fathi Abu Al-Nour, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Amin Jaber, Director of the General Administration of Environmental Projects at the University, Dr. Iman Muhammad Ahmed Abdel Hadi, Director of the Graduate Follow-up Office, and a number of others. Members of the college’s administrative staff, male and female students
The symposium revolved around four important topics:
Violence against women - population - female genital mutilation
Adolescent health and how mothers and fathers deal with their children and adolescents and how to contain them at this critical age and avoid marriage at a young age for girls as much as possible and marriage to first-degree relatives because of its bad effects on reproductive health and fetal deformity and reducing violence against women in all its forms as well. We talked about climate change and its impact on the health of women and girls and the state’s efforts through Egypt’s Vision 2030 for the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen and attention to Egyptian women.
