Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater; President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim; Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs...and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif; Dean of the College, supervised by Prof. Dr. Doaa Samir Hazza; Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs... and organized by Dr. Reham Mamdouh Abdel Maqsoud; Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit.. Dr. Arwa Ahmed Ali; Director of the Human Resources Development Unit.. The Human Resources Development Unit, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit at the college, held a training course entitled “The Credit Hour System and Academic Advising,” as part of the training plan for faculty members and the college’s supporting staff for the academic year 2023/2024 and within the framework of the college’s readiness. Present at the training course was A.M.D. Amira Rizq Abdo; General Coordinator of Specific Programs and Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Mansoura University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Doaa Samir Hazza; Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.. Prof. Dr. Rania Muhammad Bahaa El-Din; Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, and a number of faculty members and supporting staff in various scientific departments, according to training needs.
The training course covered a detailed presentation of the credit hour system, introducing the concept, advantages and disadvantages of the credit hour system and the study system in it, how to calculate the cumulative grade point average (GPA) for the student, how to calculate the semester average, how to move between levels, definition of the academic load, and the difference between deletion and withdrawal from courses. And the rules of study and evaluation and the student’s graduation requirements in application to the college regulations, then he discussed academic guidance and the criteria for evaluating the academic advisor’s performance... At the conclusion of the training course, the floor was opened for discussion and all questions of the trainees were answered... A questionnaire form was also designed to evaluate the trainees... Another is to evaluate the learning of the trainees within the framework of applying the first and second items of the training return evaluation mechanism.
