The President of Mansoura University discusses the plan of action for the integrated caravan for Halayeb and Shalatin
Today, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 AD, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with members of the Mansoura University integrated convoy “Bridges of Goodness-21” heading to Halayeb, Shalatin, and Abu Ramad, during the period from May 17-21, 2024 AD, in cooperation with The Ministry of Social Solidarity and Decent Life and the Red Sea Governorate, to discuss the details of the convoy’s work and the integrated services it will provide.
In the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and head of the convoy, Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi, Vice President of the College of Medicine and head of the medical team, Dr. Hossam El-Din Al-Hilali, coordinator of the integrated convoys and head of the administrative team.
Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater said that the integrated convoy comes within the framework of presidential initiatives to develop solidarity in the Egyptian state, and within the framework of activating the role of Mansoura University in serving society, and to be active and interactive in the new republic.
He also stressed the importance of the role of integrated convoys in supporting the delivery of various services to people in remote places, especially border areas.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim indicated that the convoy is carried out in cooperation with all executive authorities in the Red Sea Governorate, and the integrated convoy includes specializations: medical, veterinary, agricultural awareness, sports, food supplies, and educational scholarships convoy.
He stated that the integrated convoy includes 54 faculty members and administrators at the university, and the medical convoy also includes 37 doctors, faculty members at the College of Medicine from various specialties.
He pointed out that the food and supplies convoy is the largest of its kind, as it includes 17 tons of rice - 17 tons of flour - 25 tons of pasta - 50 cartons of dates - one ton of chicken - 100 cartons of food supplies - one ton of ready-made clothes.
His Excellency also reviewed the convoy’s movement schedule: The start signal begins tomorrow, Thursday, with the movement of the first team, then on Friday, the entire convoy will start at exactly 8 am, with Saturday being the beginning of the convoy’s work until the end of its work on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
