The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Council held its meeting No. (260) headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

To discuss the most important topics and developments related to the sector.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim began the meeting by welcoming the members of the Council, expressing his appreciation for their continuous efforts in serving the sector and supporting its goals.

Then, the Vice President of the University congratulated Dr. Mustafa Anan, Head of the Industrial Zone in Gemsa City, on the occasion of obtaining his doctorate degree, praising his scientific and professional achievements. He also congratulated Prof. Dr. Metwally Abu Saree, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, on the occasion of the issuance of the decision of His Excellency the President of the University to assume his supervision of the Mansoura University Hotel, and expressed his confidence in his ability to develop the hotel's performance.

His Excellency also congratulated Dr. Reem Khairy on her appointment as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, expressing his confidence that she will continue to develop the college's activities and community services.

After offering congratulations, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim gave a comprehensive presentation on the activities carried out by the sector and the various colleges. The presentation included a discussion of the activities and projects related to the colleges and the sector in general, with a focus on activities aimed at enhancing community service and environmental development. Some educational projects within the university were presented, where they were discussed extensively by the members, and opinions were exchanged on how to improve and develop these activities to serve the goals of the university and society.

The meeting then discussed and studied the agenda for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector. The discussions included reviewing the proposed items and approving the minutes of the previous session No. (259) held on April 24, 2024. Then, it was emphasized to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations and decisions taken in the previous session to ensure achieving the desired results.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim concluded the meeting by thanking all members for their active participation, and urging them to continue working to achieve the sector’s goals, while emphasizing the importance of cooperation between all parties to ensure continued progress and development in serving the community and developing the environment.
