Activities of the Development Bridges (5) “Jusoor Eltanmya (5)” Convoy at Dingway Village, Sherbin Center

Mansoura integrated University convoy Development Bridges 5 “Jusoor Eltanmya 5” was launched on Saturday morning, November 6th, to provide services to the people of Dingway village in Sherbin Center. This took place under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Abdul Basit, President of Mansoura University, Dr. Ayman Mokhtar - Governor of Daqahliyah, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Meligi – Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Haitham Al-Sheikh - Deputy Governor of Daqahliya, coordinated by Dr. Iman Abu Fadl - Coordinator of the “Hayat Karima” Initiative at Mansoura University, and Engineer/ Shaimaa Al-Siddiq - Coordinator “Hayat Karima” initiative in Daqahliya governorate and Professor Amal Hamdi, head of the unit for the old “Kafr al-tarwa”, This comes within the framework of the "Decent Life" initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside, and out of the concern of Mansoura University to maximize its social role in serving the surrounding community.

The convoy included signing medical examinations on residents in the following specializations (dental, internal, dermatological, orthopedic, Cardiology, Pediatric, Neurology, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, and surgery) where Prof. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, stated that 475 cases were signed and the medicine was disbursed free of charge.

Prof. Mohammed Jabr, vice dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for Community Service Affairs, also stated that throughout the day, the veterinary convoy signed veterinary medical examinations on 85 heads of cows, 215 buffaloes and 125 sheep, 54 goats, 83 animals and 142 poultry, Also the treatment was given free of charge to a large number of animals, in addition to raising awareness among citizens and breeders about the proper nutrition methods, feed alternatives, periodic fortifications and ways of proper breeding and care.

A number of health awareness seminars were also organized, where Prof. Amina Al-Nimr, the Dean of the College of Nursing, stated that residents were made aware of  the importance of early detection of diabetes, and the importance of conducting periodic tests, as well as the awareness of osteoporosis and reproductive health, in addition to raising awareness among residents about the importance of getting the vaccine against the new coronavirus, and the importance of adhering to precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all.

As stated by Prof. Wafa Abu al – Muati, director of the child care and development Center, that the team of the center presented many artistic, Entertaining and educational segments for children. Where an art workshop was organized to produce cartoon masks with colored paper with about 75 girl and boy, also an educational art workshop with parts of the human body, and create the Egyptian flag with colored foam with about 60 children, as well as printing and free coloring with about 45 children, Gifts, sweets and face painting were also distributed to about 185 children between the ages of 2 and 12, with many games, motor and sports competitions and a puppet theatre with children.
