The Community Service and Environmental Development Council of Mansoura University held its meeting No. 247 on Wednesday morning, 10/11/2021, headed by Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed Al- Meligi - vice president of the University for community service and environmental development Affairs, at the community service hall on the third floor of the University's General Administration Building, in the presence of the vice deans of the faculties for community service and environmental development Affairs, and the council members from abroad.

At the beginning of the council meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Al- Meligi offered his condolences to Prof. Mahmoud Mendoh, vice dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service Affairs, for the death of His brother, He also thanked    Prof. Magdi Zakaria Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science for his efforts during his tenure as the Faculty's Community Service Vice Dean, wishing him success and congratulating him on his appointment as Dean of the Faculty, He also thanked Prof. Rizk Mustafa Ibrahim and Prof. Fatima Shehta Ayed for their efforts during their tenure as Community Service and Environmental Development Vice Deans, wishing them success, then he congratulated Prof. Samah Tariq Hafez, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Community Service Affairs, for obtaining a professor's degree, and then welcomed the new Vice Deans, Prof. Mahmoud Al- Meligi also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to facilitate and organize vaccinations at the university during the previous period, and He thanked Dr. Saad Makki, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlya, and all the members of the medical and administrative team that participated in the vaccination process.

He then presented a report for the comprehensive convoy “Jusoor Elkhair 12”, organized by the community service sector during the month of October to the city of Safaga in the Red Sea governorate and praised the efforts made by all members of the convoy from the medical team, the team of the child care and Development Center and the administrative team, where he pointed out that the activities of the convoy resulted in the medical examination of 4,787 cases of residents of the city and the disbursement of medicines for them free of charge from the pharmacy of the convoy, In addition to transferring 35 cases to hospitals and medical centers at Mansoura university, he also praised the role of the child care and Development Center team, which contributed to provide many recreational and educational activities for more than 665 children, in addition to face painting and coloring, and distributing gifts, toys and candy to children.

A map was also presented showing all remote areas and border governorates (North and Central Sinai, South Sinai, Red Sea, New Valley, Assiut), to which the community service sector has organized integrated convoys since 2018, the results of which resulted in the medical examination of more than 30,763 cases of residents of these areas, and the transfer of more than 450 cases to University Hospitals, as well as the veterinary examination of 50,677 cases (rabbits, birds, horses, cows, buffalo, goats, etc.), He also referred to the series of development bridges “jusoor  Eltanmya ”convoys organized by the university to the villages of the Sherbin Center, which were selected for development as part of the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside within the framework of the Decent Life “Hayat Karema” Initiative, the results of which resulted in the medical examination of more than 3120 cases of residents from these villages, and the transfer of more than 117 cases to the University Hospitals, as well as the veterinary examination of 4004 cases, in addition to organizing many agricultural and nursing convoys, and many events and outreach activities for the Committees of the University of Mansoura's Dignified Life “Hayah Karema” Team, such as the Anti-Addiction and Abuse Committee, the Committee for Digital Transformation and Training, the Project Support Committee, the Egyptian Industrial “Sanayet Masr” Committee, “Mawada” Committee, and the Child Care and Development.

He also pointed to the role of the University in the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside within the framework of the initiative "dignified life" “Hayah Karema”, and stressed the need for the participation of all colleges of the University in this national project, and then stressed the need to maximize student participation through each college nominating a number of (5) students to participate in all university activities on the initiative of a dignified life, based on the recommendations received from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in this regard, He also referred to Mansoura University's celebration of the 48th anniversary of the glorious victory of October, which was held on 11 October with the participation of the Dignified Life initiative team of Mansoura University, the General Administration for environmental projects, the General Administration for youth welfare and all faculties of the university, which aimed to develop the spirit of loyalty to the homeland, raise awareness of the importance of standing up to foreign conspiracies and not to be deceived by false slogans, and to instill a spirit of hope among students to make a better history, as well as to make them aware of the details of the October war, which showed the strength of the Egyptian soldier and his ability to Break the rules of combat.

His Excellency also referred to the Golden Jubilee celebration, which will include a number of events to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Mansoura University on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Mansoura University, stressing that the aim of this Jubilee is to highlight the legacy of Mansoura University and its history since the establishment of the first college, He stressed that the aim of this Jubilee is to highlight the legacy of Mansoura University and its history since the establishment of the first college, passing through its distinguished present and prestigious scientific and community reputation through the blending of its educational, research and community roles.

He also stressed the importance of paying attention to the issue of literacy and adult education, and stressed the need to oblige students to the decision of the university council to eliminate a number of illiterate people before graduation. He noted that the university has contributed to the elimination of illiteracy for 28,104 illiterate people so far, and that a number of incentive measures will be taken to encourage students to participate in this national project, and stressed the need to follow up periodically to increase the number of people who are literate and to contribute to this national project effectively.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Al- Meligi stressed the need to provide all needs and take all precautionary measures to ensure the successful regularity of the educational process and ensure that it is applied without compromise to ensure a safe educational environment for all university staff, and pointed out that the necessary measures have been taken to vaccinate students under 18 years of age with the coronavirus vaccine, as no unvaccinated people will be allowed to enter the University starting from 15 November in accordance with the instructions of the prime minister in this regard
