The Community Service and Environmental Development Council of Mansoura University held its meeting No. 248 on Tuesday morning, 4/1/2022. headed by Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed Al- Meligi - vice president of the University for community service and environmental development Affairs, at the community service hall on the third floor of the University's General Administration Building, in the presence of the vice deans of the faculties for community service and environmental development Affairs, and the council members from abroad.

At the beginning of the council meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Al- Meligi thanked Prof. Basma Shoman - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Students Affairs for her efforts during her tenure as the Faculty's Community Service Vice Dean, wishing her success. Then he congratulated Prof. Ghada al-kanishi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service Affairs, and Prof. Noha Hekal - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science for Community Service Affairs, for their appointment as Vice Deans for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

He then presented a report on the opening of the first sports arena at Mansoura University, which is located in the park behind the Digital Training Center (Scientific Computing Center). Which includes a number of sports equipment and machinery manufactured within the university, with the aim of making sports available to all university staff free of charge, and to encourage them to practice it.

He then presented a report for the comprehensive convoy “Jusoor Elkhair 13”. Organized by the community service sector during the month of December to Al-Wadi Al-Gadid governorate. He praised the efforts made by all members of the convoy from the medical team, the team of the childcare and Development Center and the administrative team. Where he pointed out that the activities of the convoy resulted in the medical examination of 4,322 cases of residents of the city and the disbursement of medicines for them free of charge from the pharmacy of the convoy. In addition to transferring 36 cases to hospitals and medical centers at Mansoura university. He also praised the role of the veterinary team, which carried out the necessary examinations and signed the examination of 1,456 animals as well as the free dispensing of medicines. He also praised the role of the childcare and Development Center team, which contributed to provide many recreational and educational activities for more than 685 children, in addition to face painting and coloring, and distributing gifts, toys and candy to children.

He also stressed the need to pay attention to the issue of literacy and adult education and stressed the need for students to be obliged by the decision of the University Council to eradicate illiteracy of a number of illiterates before graduation, and noted that the university has contributed to the literacy of 33,738 illiterates so far.

At the end of the meeting, Al Meligi also noted that Mansoura University, headed by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, organized the charitable market for students at the beginning of the second term, which aims to support the largest number of deserving students.
