Representatives of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence and the Supreme Council of Universities on a visit to Mansoura University to follow up on the final arbitration process of the university's internal awards

The work team of the Egypt award for Government Excellence, chaired by Eng. Khaled Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, and Dr. Dalia Sami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, paid an official visit to Mansoura University to follow up on the final arbitration process of the university's internal awards, where 18 colleges applied for the Institutional and individual Excellence Awards.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basit, President of Mansoura University and Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Meligi, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs attended the visit. and Dr. Hala Al-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the implementation of the internal awards system in the government agencies in the State administrative apparatus, comes from the keenness of the Egypt Award administration for Governmental Excellence to implement the goals of Egypt Vision 2030, and to support the state's efforts to spread and deepen the culture of excellence and institutional development in different sectors of the Country. This is in order to improve the quality of citizen’s life and to enhance the leadership and competitiveness of the Egyptian State. The launch of the system was also in implementation of the Prime Minister’s directives on the importance of starting the implementation of the system of internal awards in the administrative apparatus of the State.

Dr. Khaled Mustafa stressed the importance of the universities role in the development of society, for not only their prominent and leading role in education and scientific research, but also as a platform for knowledge and ideas. Which we hopes that they will support us in spreading a culture of excellence and quality, and promote awareness about looking forward to future, innovation, and institutional creativity.

For his part, Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basit, President of the University, expressed his appreciation for the relationship of cooperation between the university and the Egyptian Award for Government Excellence. Praising the efforts presented by the award throughout the previous period, stressing the importance of deepening the culture of excellence, which reflected in the university's performance to activate the internal excellence system at the university.

Then Dr. Dalia Sami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, stated that as a part of the important visit to the university, the Council seeks to provide full support and overcome obstacles for the deployment and implementation of the system of excellence in the government universities. During the meeting, Dr. Khaled Mustafa received the University's Golden Jubilee Shield for the 50th anniversary of its establishment as a distinguished Egyptian national educational institution.
