This morning, Saturday, March 5, 2021, Mansoura University's comprehensive convoy "Jessour Al-Kair (14)" launched to Al-Farafra Oasis in Al-Wadi Al-Jadeed Governorate to provide its medical, and awareness services there. Under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Mohammed Abd Al-Basit, President of Mansoura University, and Major General Mohammed Al-Zamlot, Governor of Al-Wadi Al-Jadeed, headed by Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Meligy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The convoy's activities will include signing medical examinations on the residents of Al-Farafra and Al-Dakhla oasis and several surrounding areas in various medical specialties, as well as the dispensing of medicines from the convoy pharmacy free of charge. In addition to the diversion of critical cases to complete treatment, medical examinations and necessary surgeries at hospitals and medical centers of Mansoura University, it will also include a number of recreational and awareness-raising events organized by the team of the University's Childhood Care and Development Centre, as well as distributing gifts to children.

It is worth mentioning that the convoy management has taken all preventive and precautionary measures to preserve safety for all its members and for the people benefiting from the convoy's services.

The convoy comes as part of the university's plan to contribute in providing and disseminating health care throughout the Republic, in order to maximize its role in serving the community and to complete the series of integrated “Jessour Al-Kair” convoys, which started by Al-Mansoura University in 2018, to provide its integrated services to the residents of border governorates and remote areas in need. The convoy's activities are scheduled to continue until Thursday evening, March 10.
