Medical examination signed on 4,456 citizens during Mansoura University Convoy in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid
Mansoura University's comprehensive convoy "Jusoor Al-Khair (14)” concluded its activities in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid governorate on Wednesday evening, March 9. Which was launched last Saturday under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Mohammed Abd Al-Basit, President of Mansoura University, and Major General Mohammed Al Zamlot, Governor of Al-Wadi Al-Jadid. Headed by Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Meligy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, to provide its comprehensive services to the people of Al-Farafra and Al-Dakhla oasis in Al-Wadi Al-Jadid Governorate.
Where Prof. Adel Al-Tabai, Vice-President of the convoy, made an inspection tour of Al-Dakhla Hospital, accompanied by Dr. Nabil Hanafi, Chairman of the Al-Dakhla City Council, and Dr. Mohamed Rashad, Director of Al-Dakhla Central Hospital. The visit was aimed at ensuring the proper functioning of clinics and following up on the provision of medical services to the residents. In addition to overcoming any difficulties that prevent the convoy from performing its duty in the best possible way.
The convoy provided medical, awareness-raising and recreational services during its stay in the governorate. Where the official spokesperson for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Ahmed Rashed, announced that the efforts of the medical convoy resulted in the signing of medical examinations on (2,728) case from the residents of the Al-Farafra oasis, and (1,728) case from the residents of the Al-Dakhla oasis. with a total of (4,456) cases in both Oasis and surrounding areas. With dispensing treatment to them from the convoy pharmacy free of charge, In addition to performing 14 surgeries at Al-Farafra Oasis Hospital and 11 surgeries at Al-Dakhla Oasis Hospital with a total of 25 surgeries. As well as transferring (39) cases from Al-Farafra Oasis residents, and transferring (32) cases from Al- Dakhla Oasis residents with a total of (71) cases, to complete treatment and conduct the necessary medical examinations and surgeries at Mansoura University hospitals.
Rashed also referred to the efforts of the Child Care and Development Center team, which resulted in organizing a number of recreational and educational workshops for more than 790 children during the convoy's stay in the governorate. Where technical workshops were organized on how to create masks for animals, create masks for buggy and tamtam, make gift bags for Mother's day, create Ramadan decorations (pillows, mattresses, decorative ropes, and Ramadan lanterns), produce hair bands for girls and paper games, present a puppet theater for children and show Several plays (mother's play, personal hygiene play, and gift for my mother play). In addition to drawing on paper and distributing gifts, games and sweets to children.
For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Meligi praised the convoy members for their active participation and great efforts. He also thanked Major General Mohammed Al-Zamlot, the governor of Al-Wadi Al-Gadid governorate, Dr. Hanan Majdi, the deputy governor, and Dr. Ahmed Mahrous, the deputy minister of health in the governorate, and all the leaders for their support to the convoy throughout its stay in the governorate. He also emphasized that Mansoura University will continue to provide all its human cadres and capabilities to serve the cities and villages of the Republic, especially the border ones.
