Seminar on “Sustainable Development and its Impact on the Performance and Objectives of the Institution” for the Students of Al-Mahrousa team at the University

In the light of the concern of the State and its various ministries and institutions to achieve sustainable development and in realizing the Egyptian Vision 2030 Strategy, which is the umbrella for Egypt's development plans and programs. And in the interest of Mansoura University to expand its active participation in achieving and spreading the culture, methodologies and mechanisms of sustainable development with its economic, social and environmental dimensions, and under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Mohammed Abdul Basit - President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Meligi - Vice-President of the University.

The General Administration of Environmental Projects carried out the first educational meeting for the Al-Mahrousa students team at the university under the title “Sustainable development and its impact on the performance and objectives of the institution”. This is on Wednesday, March 14, in the meeting room (2) of the university’s general administration building, to add to their knowledge and develop the team’s skills, so it will become one of the important parties in spreading and achieving sustainable development goals inside and outside the university.

Dr. Amr Ahmed Jaber, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture and Coordinator of the Al-Mahrousa Team for Sustainable Development, lectured in this educational meeting, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Amin, General Director of the Environmental Projects General Administration, and the work team from the Environmental Projects General Administration.

The meeting focused on spreading the concept of sustainable development and environmental sustainability, establishing its goals and its pivots among all the university's sectors, raising awareness and integrating youth and researchers into environmental issues, activating the role of youth in the development and environmental plans of the state and the need for their positive participation in them, and highlighting Mansoura University’s strategy in achieving sustainable development goals.
