Activities of the Development Bridges (13) Convoy in El-Senbellawein

Within the framework of cooperation with the cabinet's higher medical committee, this morning, Monday, August 8, the Development Bridges (13) Integrated Convoy launched to serve the people of Barhamtoush and Kafr El-Anania in Senbellawein, within the framework of the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside, the presidential initiative “Hayat Karima”. Under the auspices of Prime Minister Mustafa Dadbouli, Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed El Meligy - Acting President of Mansoura University and Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

With the coordination of Dr. Muhammad Shaaban - Chairman of the cabinet's higher medical committee, and Dr. Iman Ahmed Abu Al-Fadl - Head of the Integrated Development Convoys Office at the university and coordinator of the Decent Life “Hayat Karmia” Initiative at Mansoura University.

The convoy aims to achieve the state’s efforts in supporting health systems, providing comprehensive health care and improving the quality of citizens’ life in the villages that deserve the most care of the presidential initiative “Hayat Karima” in order to achieve the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The convoy included many activities, such as providing medical services (examinations and dispensing free medicine), health awareness for citizens, and implementing many recreational activities for children.

The efforts of the convoy resulted in conducting examinations on 1024 cases in different specialties, providing treatment free of charge, and transferring 30 cases to complete treatment and examinations at Mansoura University hospitals under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Shoma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

The convoy's health awareness team provided health awareness about Pregnancy care to preserve the health of the pregnant woman and fetus, and about high blood pressure disease (the silent killer), as well as self-examination for breast cancer and ways to prevent kidney disease.

On the sidelines of the convoy, the Child Care and Development Center team at the university held a workshop for making toys, free drawing and printing with about 75 children, and a Montessori games workshop to develop children skills and intelligence, in addition to applying some interactive stories with them, distributing sweets, gifts and face painting with about 135 children.
